HIDDEN TREASURE:  THE PRIOR EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCES OF IMMIGRANT WOMEN

ABSEL 2000:  LEARNING IN AND FOR THE FUTURE

The theme will be: Learning in and for the Future.  You are invited to submit proposals for workshops, interactive sessions, panel or roundtable discussions, demonstrations, and traditional papers. There will be two tracks: EXPERIENTIAL EXERCISES and SIMULATIONS. Appropriate topics would include the design, development, application, or evaluation of these tools for learning, research, or assessment. Sessions that provide for interactive participation are encouraged.

The CAEL 2000 International Conference will present plenary sessions and approximately 40 separate workshops will focus on the conference’s central theme and will highlight key issues in: Learning Assessment, Workforce Development, Adult Learner Services, Learning and Technology, Public Policy and Adult Learning, Experiential Learning, and Special Topics such as cross-cultural and international contexts for adult-learning, learning for the third age, gender issues and community collaboratives for lifelong learning.

in Education, which will be held from November 30 to December 3.

The conference theme was "Reconstruction and Development: Experiential Learning in a
Global Context".  The conference sustained the momentum and engagement of the previous four conferences held in London (United Kingdom, 1987), Sydney (Australia, 1989), Pondicherry (India, 1992) and Washington DC (United States of America, 1994).
